Goose Group Merchandise
Goose Group, a collection of locally owned shops in Perham, MN, commissioned me to create an illustration celebrating the connection between their businesses and the community they call home. The original brief was a mug design for their coffee shop, Nest — but the concept resonated strongly enough that it expanded into a full merchandise line. I was given creative direction and worked independently to bring the illustration to life across a mug, postcard, and t-shirt.
My Role: Graphic Design Lead
Deliverables: Mug, Postcard, T-shirt
Process: Brief & Kickoff → Concepting → Design → Revisions → Delivery
Research: I spent the first week immersed in Perham — researching landmarks, symbols, and details that locals would immediately recognize. I wanted the final piece to feel like it belonged to the community, not just to a brand. Visually, I aimed for something clean with a vintage sensibility, more handcrafted than digital. My process began with pencil sketches, which I then translated into vectors in Illustrator before adding texture in Photoshop to give the finished illustration its handmade warmth.
